First game of the season - Wooooo!

Once again, I have apparently been slacking in the blogging world. So on Thursday I injured myself again...I promise to you all that I am not normally THIS clumsy. So I was leaving my first class and walking pretty briskly in order to make it to my next class on time (it's all the way across campus) and I slipped on some rocks and fell directly on my knee. I stood up and thought I was fine, and soon found out that I was actually quite dizzy. I made it into the nearest building and then passed out on the floor. So that was eventful. Later that day I came home and then Annabeth and I visited the mall and did some hardcore bargain shopping (the rule was no spending more than $20 at any one store). Here's a lovely photo of Annabeth posing with a mannequin.

We thought he had a lovely face.

So then Friday rolled around and it was AWESOME! Started out with class like normal - I had Spanish and Acoustics. They were so-so. Just normal classes. Then we had the first dollar lunch of the year at the Institute which was burgers so that was super exciting! After lunch I came home and took a nap which was glorious - I knew I would need my energy for the game later that night. I woke up right when we were supposed to be heading over to the game, which was also right around the time that the Richardsons were nearing our apartment!

Avery was being camera shy but I still snapped some cute shots (in my humble opinion)

Kisses from Sydney (or Titney as she says)

We're cute. Syd's first time in Zonazoo!!!

Man the fireworks both amaze and scare me at every single game even when I know they're coming.

It rained for the entire game which was such a blessing because it is so freaking hot in Zonazoo. All that body heat is too much to handle so the rain was very welcomed. We did some improvised rain dances to increase the amount of rain, and I'm pretty sure it worked. After the game we went home and had an "after-party" with the gang and the Richardsons. Sister Richardson bought us some snacks and drinks (she's awesome) and we danced and ate and I mostly just played with Avery the whole time. Today started out with us contacting our landlord to get the AC repairman to come over since our AC totally crapped out. Once that was taken care of, Sydney and I went grocery shopping. Now we are just hanging out and cleaning our apartment a little before I cook lasagna for us! Should be successful. Wish us luck!

Whoops....I'm slacking

Okay so it has definitely been a few days since I last blogged. In my defense, I did strain the muscles in my lower back so I've been in a lot of pain for the past couple of days. With that being said...here is a photo log of what's been going down recently.

Sunday evening we decided to start a craft...later realizing we didn't have nearly enough matches to finish.

I took these pictures walking to classes on Tuesday....look how pretty our campus is! Still so fresh and green. The grass hasn't been trampled to death yet.

And one of my favorite spots on campus - I have no idea what it's called but I call it the tree path.

Here is the completed match project on our bookshelf in the living room! And our little owl friend.

A close up of the burnt match craft.

Pretty Little Liars and Chipotle - a Tucson tradition

Some awesome shorts I stole from the doctor

Trent enjoys having me in his institute class...maybe.

Wait. You mean we wore the same shirt? What are the odds?? Not like we share a room or anything...

Syd is a really good rock. (We played some game that I think Brother Bauer invented since almost no one had heard of it before. It involves a pool table, some pool balls, and bodies.

Another attempt at the matching shirt roomie picture...with a photobombing Brother Bauer. He's awesome.

All in all it has been a whirlwind of craziness as school has started. But my classes seem interesting and good - good professors and good content! So I would call it a successful week and the start to a very successful year. Sophomore year here we go!

First Sunday of the year!

Hola blogging world. Today was Sunday so you know what that means....CHURCH TIME!!!

Our ward changed from 11 to 1 so that's definitely going to take some getting used to. It was really nice to sleep in but by the time we got back home it was basically time for dinner. But church was really cool to see everyone after being away for the summer! Plus since it was basically the first day so we did a lot of introducing each other which was fun.

Here's a photo of Annabeth being a model after church.

And here's a photo of me with Trent. What a cutie.

And here is a photo of Sydney and me. We really like church.

Roomie pic once we went outside!

I thought my after church outfit was quite fashion forward.

Lauren made us Sunday dinner!

Syd and Annabeth loved it.

As did Lauren.

I took this picture of myself pretending like someone else took it. Haha.

Another roomie church pic!

We like it when it rains in Tucson.

After church I FaceTimed my momma! That was super exciting. I got to see Dewey!!

We also did fake tattoos when we got home from church.

And to celebrate school starting tomorrow, Sydney and I went back to campus to walk through our schedules, and we had to take an obligatory picture in front of the Harvill sculptures. Ta-dah!!

So I'm extremely nervous for school to start tomorrow but I can already tell that it's going to be a really good year! Fresh start, new classes, new beginning. Let's do this thing.

Miniatures and Free Food!

So today was extremely productive and exciting. Sydney and I went to a service project at EIGHT THIRTY AM! Which is like 6 hours before I am usually functioning. So we cleaned up a block around the rec center which happens to be right near our house. Then we came home and had some amigos over and ate yummy cinnamon buns, prepared by the lovely Sydney Richardson. After everyone was up and moving, we all went to the miniature museum! It was honestly the highlight of my time here in Tucson. I felt like a kid in a candy shop.

Here is the door to the museum - complete with a miniature door to the left.

And a final roomie pic to end the night off! Dinner was pretty cool because they forgot to make my pizza so I got it all for free! I didn't even have to pay for my Diet Coke. So it was an awesome time. Peace.
