What the poop?

Alrighty let's start with Thursday! I woke up and went to class, as per usual. It was fairly uneventful. Then in the afternoon I went to work and that was awesome because I got to hang out with the janitor, Albert. He is seriously one of my favorite human beings in the whole world. He's awesome and a great self esteem booster. When I came home I FaceTimed my mom and got to see all of my animals which was awesome! I showed off my SALT Center polo and talked in my baby voice to my pets. It was awesome.

Later, I was introduced to the game Robot Unicorn Attack, which is apparently a popular thing that I missed out on. It has the most awesome theme song ever. Here is my horrible score. I suck at these kinds of games because I get too stressed out.

Opruh was being super weird today. He was laying on the rocks and resting on top of the turtle that's in his bowl. It was hard to photograph because he moved but here's a slight representation of that.

Annabeth introduced me to an app called Split Lens where you can take a lot of selfies of yourself pretending to be more than one person. It rocks. Here's an example of that. I took these pictures after we got home from the church activity (which involved a flour war that we did not choose to partake of).

Sydney and EJ left for Mesa tonight since tomorrow they are going to Vegas for a family friend's wedding. And Annabeth went to her boyfriend's house tonight and she is going to hang out with her mom tomorrow morning so until she gets home later tonight, Lauren and I are on an awesome date. We are going to get a Redbox and do homework/knit while we watch the movie. Can't wait! Lauren is such a sweetie.

I also wore my what the poop shirt for the first time in public. It's kind of hard to see the words because of how I'm sitting but I think you can get an idea of what it looks like.

Keepin' You Forever and For Always

This post is mainly an appreciation post for iOS 7. It has changed my life with its beauty. I love it. Here is the first picture I took with it using the new camera app. It was awesome.

The new look!

Of course Sydney and I had to test out the new filters! Sorry about all the selfies but the filters just make you look so. dang. good.

Hotties.

She's so cute

Poker face.

Put your paws up.

Different filter!

anddddd a new one.

Here is how cool the texting looks!!! I just can't get enough.

So to top off my awesome day, Sydney and Annabeth accompanied me to Texas Roadhouse! It was my first time there and it was so awesome. Here is my loaded baked potato. MMM

And my delicious steak. It's definitely my favorite food.

Syd liked her wings too.

Annabeth was....well I'm not quite sure.

I was happy about the country music and yummy food. Although being there did make me pretty homesick for Texas. It's been almost a year since I last visited and that is way too long in my book! I would like to be there at least two or three times a year. I miss it so much!

Syd's classic pose.

her takeout

Andddd my outfit later that day. My shirt says "Modest is hottest" so I felt like this pose really helped express that phrase.

With that, I am going to bed now. It was an awesome day filled with Shania Twain, basically a brand new phone, and steak. What could be any better???

SALT Center and elephants

Whoops. It's dang hard to blog during the week you guys! Especially during weeks where my roommates and I all contract illnesses....

Anyway. Monday was pretty normal - I presented my project proposal for my painting class which involves an elephant and some balloons...kind of hard to explain the meaning behind it haha. But I promise it has meaning! Then we had a roomie dinner at Chipotle which was nice because A) girls night and B) Chipotle. It was the first FHE where I had to lead my family and it turned out really well! I think it's going to be a very good year.

Here's a photo of my initial sketch for my art class

We also did color "wheels" that day. But they were more chart-like.

This week marked the first week of Trent and I working at the SALT center! I happened to drive past him as he was walking home from work on Monday so I offered him a ride. S/O to EJ for hooking us up with the sweet job and even sweeter polos.

I saw this mural on the side of a school as I was walking home one day (I think it was Tuesday).

And on Tuesday when I got home from my first day of work (which was awesome by the way..), Annabeth had created a cat shrine. My kind of heaven.

So we have been in a group text with the roomies and Taylor and EJ for quite some time. It provides us with a lot of notifications....

My painting progressed quite a bit during class on Wednesday (ignore the undone trees). I think it's coming along nicely!

I wanted it to be more fall-ish in our apartment so I made us a fall wreath to decorate!

And on Thursday Lauren and I ran into Elder Bown, so we took an obligatory "thumbs up missionary photo" with him.

Friday was pretty darn awesome. We went to Chuck E. Cheese's for Clark's 26th birthday! It was so much fun to let loose and relive our childhoods.

I didn't take many pictures because I was so busy having fun! After Chuck E. Cheese's, we rushed home and hosted a movie night party where we watched Now You See Me. It was super crowded and hot - there were upwards of 20 people crammed into our apartment.

Which brings me to Saturday! Games are the best because the Richardsons come to visit. I took some selfies with Avery.

EJ wanted in on the action.

As did Syd.

Syd and I left the game at halftime and came home. I continued taking selfies with Avery. It was awesome.
