SALT Center and elephants

Whoops. It's dang hard to blog during the week you guys! Especially during weeks where my roommates and I all contract illnesses....

Anyway. Monday was pretty normal - I presented my project proposal for my painting class which involves an elephant and some balloons...kind of hard to explain the meaning behind it haha. But I promise it has meaning! Then we had a roomie dinner at Chipotle which was nice because A) girls night and B) Chipotle. It was the first FHE where I had to lead my family and it turned out really well! I think it's going to be a very good year.

Here's a photo of my initial sketch for my art class

We also did color "wheels" that day. But they were more chart-like.

This week marked the first week of Trent and I working at the SALT center! I happened to drive past him as he was walking home from work on Monday so I offered him a ride. S/O to EJ for hooking us up with the sweet job and even sweeter polos.

I saw this mural on the side of a school as I was walking home one day (I think it was Tuesday).

And on Tuesday when I got home from my first day of work (which was awesome by the way..), Annabeth had created a cat shrine. My kind of heaven.

So we have been in a group text with the roomies and Taylor and EJ for quite some time. It provides us with a lot of notifications....

My painting progressed quite a bit during class on Wednesday (ignore the undone trees). I think it's coming along nicely!

I wanted it to be more fall-ish in our apartment so I made us a fall wreath to decorate!

And on Thursday Lauren and I ran into Elder Bown, so we took an obligatory "thumbs up missionary photo" with him.

Friday was pretty darn awesome. We went to Chuck E. Cheese's for Clark's 26th birthday! It was so much fun to let loose and relive our childhoods.

I didn't take many pictures because I was so busy having fun! After Chuck E. Cheese's, we rushed home and hosted a movie night party where we watched Now You See Me. It was super crowded and hot - there were upwards of 20 people crammed into our apartment.

Which brings me to Saturday! Games are the best because the Richardsons come to visit. I took some selfies with Avery.

EJ wanted in on the action.

As did Syd.
